Asians & Friends Chicago alumna, moved to Las Vegas in 2018 and started Asians & Friends Las Vegas. Their strong connections and excellent people skills have grown the group and successfully snagged IFCON 2023. As the chairperson, Carter is an excellent facilitator, leader and director. He knows what will work, what will sell, and what can be done. Robert is the visionary of IFCON 2023. His IFCON experiences shapes the heart of the group considering how young it

is. IFCON 2023 and AFLV are just a few in his list of pioneering LGBT activities

Jason Pamatain

Joined AFLV in 2021, attended IFCON 2022 Toronto. It inspired Jason to help IFCON 2023 planning as a committee member. Jason handles official marketing and communications - Facebook, email, newsletter. Emil leads most logistics matters from managing the hospitality room, to ensuring that required equipment in event spaces are ready, to organizing your swag bag contents

Chuck Joe

Kevin Paulsen

 

Also from Chicago, pioneer members of AFLV. Chuck is responsible for a lot of dining and tour ideas, leading to our optional dim sum and Hoover Dam tour. He’s keen on trying things out before sending recommendations. Kevin is the finance and legal genius. His work allowed us to be eligible for corporate discounts at the Tuscany. His finance management skills keeps everything within the budget and ensures everyone is always updated

John Martz

Joined AFLV in 2021, attended IFCON 2022 Toronto. As a salesman, John snagged deals with our event venues. He’s responsible for sourcing partnerships i.e. T- shirt provider. He’s also well connected to other IFCON local groups, especially Houston where he was from. Together with husband Clarence, they will lead IFCON’s singles event

Sammy Ip

Also a Chicago alumni, Sammy has been to several IFCON and helps shape and guide IFCON 2023. His ideas and connections with other local groups helps the committee in many ways especially being a young group. While we all had many new event ideas, he applies his knowledge of the IFCON culture and make sure we are aligned. Sammy’s responsibility is with registration and hotel matters

Devon Duncan

Joined AFLV in 2021. Devon is the IT mastermind. He designed the website, the registration process, our database with a need to know basis only access. Devon has a strong project management skill that keeps everyone grounded and stick to realistic goals, a very much needed voice to a group of amateur event organizers. He is very good in foreseeing possible outcomes which allows us to avoid mistakes

Michael Oh

Joined AFLV a little bit later but surprised the committee with his contributions. He has strong connections to local Las Vegas establishments and key persons, allowing us to enhance our event schedule, bar discounts, and event guests which the group has been searching for. Michael is our official ‘bar researcher’
